Pathway for beneficiaries
Your solicitor or the Public Trustee will consult beneficiaries at every stage.
Acceptance
1. Acceptance
An initial interview to discuss the estate is held with your solicitor or a Customer Liason Officer from the Public Trustee
Administration of the estate is accepted and starts
Administration
2. Identification of assets
Assets and identified and secured
Insurance policies are renewed and updated if necessary
Titles and motor vehicle searches are undertaken
Share registries and financial institutions are contacted to ensure all assets are identified
3. Identification of assets
Confirm and establish the beneficiaries of the Estate
5. Taxation
Complete tax return/s including capital gains
Finalisation
6. Distribution of the estate
Distribution of the estate's assets are made in accordance with the Will, taking into consideration the preferences of beneficiaries
