If you pass away without a Will, it may take time and investigation work to determine the beneficiaries of your estate.

So, if you want to ensure your estate goes to who you expect, it is a good idea to start advance life planning, including having a valid Will. This is particularly important if you want your estate to go to those not biologically related to you, such as stepchildren or friends.
