At Queensland Public Trustee (QPT), we're dedicated to providing state trustee services that safeguard the rights, interests and wishes of Queenslanders.

Since the launch of our Customers First Agenda in 2020, we have remained focused on continuous improvement and delivering customer-centric services, ensuring a more consistent and transparent approach to meeting the diverse needs of our customers.

This report complements our recent Community Advocacy and Education 2022-2024 report released in December 2024. The information and customer stories showcase key service enhancements we have implemented to improve our customer experience and ensure more consistent, transparent support across the state.

During the 2023-2024 financial year, QPT:

  • provided support to more than 10,550 customers with impaired capacity
  • supported financial administration customers in claiming over $1 million through the National Redress Scheme
  • helped eight customers achieve financial independence, bringing the total to 33 since the Financial Independence Pathway program began in 2020.

QPT is the only state trustee in Australia with dedicated disability support specialists. Throughout the year, these occupational therapists provided state-wide support to more than 800 financial administration customers.

We are proud of the progress made and the continued emphasis on service improvements, education and advocacy as part of our social responsibility.

Through these efforts, we are building a more consistent and transparent approach to supporting our customers and their support networks, as we work together to improve the lives of vulnerable Queenslanders.
